1. B.Ed (Bachelors of Education)
B.Ed special education is a stream of Bachelors of Education which has been designed to provide special and advanced skills & training to the teachers. B.Ed Special Education is a bachelor’s degree which is of a total of two years duration divided into four semesters altogether. The course has been designed to train the teachers to teach students who are differently-abled or physically challenged. Through the course, the teachers are given theoretical and practical knowledge in terms of teaching skills methodologies, teaching pedagogy and other skills. Through this course, the candidates can pursue their education in any of the specializations including locomotor disability, low vision, hearing impairment, visual impairment, learning disability, deafblindness, autism, spectrum disorder, multiple disabilities and other differently challenged specialization. The minimum eligibility required to pursue B.Ed special education is to pass a graduation degree in Bachelors of Education from a recognized institute.
2. Duration:- 2 years (4 semesters)
3. Eligibility Criteria:-
In order to pursue a degree in B.Ed Special Education, the candidates must fulfil the required eligibility criteria for admission. Eligibility requirements which the candidates need to fulfil for admission to B.Ed Special Education is given in the points below:
• Candidates must have pursued a degree in Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) or any equivalent graduation degree in relevant stream from a recognized institute.
• The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% in the graduation level exam with all the subjects put together.
• The candidate must have passed class 12th in the relevant stream from a recognized Institute with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
