B.Sc. + B.Ed. is an undergraduate dual degree, which is of a total of 4 years duration and provides an integrated course of Bachelor of Science and Bachelors of Education. The main aim of this course is to provide extensive knowledge in various Science subjects including Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Through the course, students are provided with theoretical knowledge in the field of science to empower them for problem-solving skills. The course provides an opportunity for the students to pursue Science along with Education in 4 years, which also helps them save one year of the degree. Students can take admission in B.Sc. + B.Ed. dual degree course through either direct admission or an entrance examination, depending on the institute. 3. BSc B.Ed. (BSc B.Ed.) Eligibility Criteria
The students who seek admission to 4 year's integrated BSc + B.Ed. course need to fulfil some of the eligibility criteria as the requirement for admission, which may vary as per different colleges. However, the basic eligibility criteria, which the student must fulfil in order to get admission to this dual degree course, are:
• The candidate must have passed the 12th level exam or any equivalent exam from a recognized board or school.
• The candidate must have opted for the main subjects as Physics and Mathematics in the 12th exam with one of the optional subjects among Chemistry/ biology/ biotechnology.
• The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for the reserved candidates) in the 12th or equivalent exam.
4. Admission Process
The process of admission for the BSc + B. Ed dual degree goes through two different factors: direct admission and admission through the entrance exam conducted by the university. Through direct admission, the candidate can take admission based on merit obtained by the candidate in 12th or an equivalent exam. On the other hand, some universities also conduct their own entrance exam to test the eligibility of the students. Based on the marks obtained by the students in the entrance exam, the qualifying candidates are called for the counselling process where they have to pay the admission fee, submit their relevant documents and secure their seat for admission into BSc B.Ed. integrated course.
5. BSc + B. Ed Course Fee
The average course fee for integrated BSc + B.Ed. the course ranges somewhere between 10k to 2 lakh per annum. However, the range of course fees also depends on various factors such as the type of the college, scholarship provided and the process of admission. For instance, the students who seek admission through the entrance exam will have more scholarships provided and will have fewer course fees as compared to the students who seek direct admission into the course. Similarly, a college that is highly reputable will have a higher fee as compared to an average ranked college.
6. BSc B.Ed. (BSc + B.Ed.) Syllabus
