1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA


Educational Qualification

Candidate who has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline recognized by the government are eligible to apply for CAPF.


Age Limit

Minimum Age: 20 years. 

Maximum Age: 25 Years


Note: The upper age limit can be relaxed for candidates belonging to various reserved categories.

CAPF AC SYLLABUS


The UPSC CAPF AC syllabus is divided into 2 variants which are paper 1 and paper 2. Objective type questions are asked with multiple choices in CAPF Paper 1 exam on General ability and Intelligence. Whereas the entire syllabus of paper 2 is a descriptive test. 
Therefore, to be a part of the Central Armed Police Forces, candidates are required to crack the cutoff for both papers simultaneously. 

CAPF AC exam is conducted for the selection of assistant commandant (Group A) officers in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NSG, and  AR. Thus, check out the detailed subject-wise CAPF Assistant Commandant syllabus for the Assistant Commandant (AC) post which is scheduled to be held on 08 August.

CAPF Assistant Commandant   Syllabus  (Paper1)


CAPF AC Paper 1 syllabus is divided into 6 different subjects. Candidates can check out the subject-wise syllabus for the CAPF exam to cover each topic systematically and score better in the exam. CAPF AC Paper 1 is conducted for a total of 250 marks.

It will cover India and the world's physical, social and economic aspects of geography.

CAPF Assistant Commandant   Paper 2 Syllabus 

The Paper 2 syllabus for the CA PF AC exam is of descriptive type. It holds a weightage of 200 marks, which covers     Essay, Comprehension Precis, and language skills.


Essay
It covers topics of modern Indian history, in particular, freedom struggle, geography, politics and economy, knowledge of issues of security and human rights, and analytical ability.
Comprehension, precis writing & language Skills
Comprehension, précis writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammar and other aspects of language testing.

CAPF Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) consists of the following Tests:

The entire above test is necessary and are of qualifying nature.
After clearing the Physical Tests, the selected candidates are shortlisted for Medical Review.

The candidates who qualify for medical standards are then selected for Personal interviews. The details are shared below:

CAPF Interview/Personality Test
Candidates declared qualified in the Medical Standard Tests will be called upon by the Union Public Service Commission to conduct an interview /personality test.
Candidates who are declared medically unfit but permitted to appear before for a "Review Medical Board" will be called for interview /personality tests.
The Total weightage for the Personality Test is 150 Marks.

CAPF Final Merit List
The Final Merit List for the CAPF Assistant Commandant exam will be drawn based on marks obtained by candidates in the written examination and the Interview.
