2. JEE Mains Eligibility Criteria
List of Qualifying Examinations
• Class 12th final exam is conducted by Central/ State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi etc.
• Intermediate or two-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
• Final exam of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy.
• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling has a minimum of five subjects.
• Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• H.S.C - Vocational examination
• A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of a minimum of 3-year duration
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
JEE Main Eligibility Criteria for Admissions to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs
• NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs Admission: Candidates just need to pass class 12 irrespective of percentage.
• JEE Main B.Arch/B.Planning Admission: Candidates should have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board or a 10+3 diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
JEE Main-Subject Combinations for Admissions
In order to get admissions through NTA JEE Main into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs must have passed the qualifying examination with the below-given subjects.
• B.Tech/B.E - Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects.
• B.Arch - Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
• B.Planning - Should have passed the qualifying examination with Mathematics.
